Making Room for More
We have been in awe of how God has been breathing life into the ministry happening in and through College Ave Church. Between our worship venue and parking, we’ve run into a really good problem—we’re running out of room! That’s why this next season is all about making room for more. We want to be a church that shines as a beacon of hope in San Diego for everyone who wants to know, love, and follow the real Jesus.
These changes aren’t just about logistics—they’re about creating space for more people to encounter Him. Thank you for your flexibility, faithfulness, and partnership in what God is doing here. We can’t wait to see how He continues to use our church to reach and serve our community! Read below to see how you can help.
1. how you get here
Parking and Traffic Flow
If you can, consider riding to church together with other students, friends, or family.
Plan your best route with traffic in mind! We experience the most traffic coming south on College Ave. Help us save the main lot entrance for those who are visiting our church for the first time! Here are some alternative routes:
Driving from the West: take I-8 West > 70th St Exit > 70th to El Cajon Blvd and enter our east lot from El Cajon Blvd.
Driving from the South: take 94 > College Ave Exit > turn right on El Cajon Blvd to enter our east lot entrance.
Driving from the East: take I-8 East > El Cajon Exit all the way to our east lot on El Cajon. OR
take I-8 East > College Ave exit > turn east on Montezuma, South on 63rd, and right onto El Cajon Blvd to access our East lot entrance.
To avoid our parking lot entirely, consider these two additional parking lots that we have agreements with on Sunday mornings. South of College Ave Church:
Wells Fargo at 4690 63rd St, San Diego, CA 92115
and north of College Ave Church:
Beth Jacob Congregation at 4855 College Ave, San Diego, CA 92115
2. WHEN you get here
Services are at 9:00, 10:30, and 11:55am.
If you typically attend the earlier service times, try out the 11:55am service where we conclude the service with Q&A and provide pizza in the kids ministry! At our 9:00 and 10:30am service times, here are some alternate venue options:
Worship Center – New venue opening across the courtyard! What was formerly the Gym/Family Center is now a worship venue on Sunday mornings with live worship music and livestreamed teaching, starting September 7. Services at 9:00 and 10:30am.
Bethel Chapel – Traditional-style worship and livestreamed teaching at the south end of campus. The first Sunday of each month, we celebrate communion together. Services at 9:00 and 10:30am.
Fireside – Full service of worship and teaching is livestreamed, great for young families or nursing mothers!
3. How You can help
In addition to how you get here, when you get here, and where you worship on campus, you can also help out by serving on a team where we have the most needs right now: parking, ushering, safety, or medical.
