College Ave Ministries
Production
The Production Team at College Ave exists to remove distractions and create an environment where the gospel is clearly received. Production residents will be trained in audio, video, lighting, and broadcast to support Sunday mornings, midweek gatherings, and events. We use technology as a tool that helps people encounter God’s Word.
Creative
Creative/comms residents will get hands-on experience creating content that supports the ministries and mission of College Ave Church. Depending on the specific area of focus, they’ll capture and edit photos and video, create social content, design graphics, and help tell stories of what God is doing through our church. Residents will work alongside our creative and communications team and ministry leaders, contributing to real projects, learning the creative process and developing their skills throughout the year.
Life Groups
The College Ave Life Group Ministry develops & supports mid-week small group communities based on fellowship, study & prayer. Life Group Residents connect with and support leaders of Life Groups, plan & manage leadership opportunities & events, develop sermon-based Life Group curriculum, and prioritize the spiritual growth of our church congregation through community-building.
Pastoral Ministry
Pastoral ministry is focused on the training and development it takes to become a Senior Pastor or a church leader. This includes preaching and teaching, board meetings, and pastoral care – weddings, funerals, and life events.
Preschool
College Ave Preschool is a weekday educational program. Residents serve throughout the week by assisting teachers in the classroom, engaging and playing with children, and supporting hands-on learning through projects and lessons. They work closely with the Preschool Director in daily operations and ministry planning, help coordinate seasonal events, and assist with organizing monthly preschool chapels. Residents also participate in fundraising initiatives that help expand the preschool’s mission. This role provides experience in early childhood education, leadership development, and children’s ministry within a weekday setting.
KIDS Ministry
KIDS Ministry residency at College Ave means being a part of the team – fully immersed in all of the duties of KIDS Ministry as children come to know and grow in Christ. You will learn how to make Sunday mornings and mid-week programs run, gaining experience with curriculum planning at all age levels, preparing classrooms, and running classes with kids from ages 0-11 years old.
Middle School
Middle School Residents learn what it is like to help run a Middle School Ministry. They get a peek behind the curtain of what it takes to plan and run program, create and cultivate community with students and volunteers and create a place where middle school students can meet Jesus, experience His presence, and grow in their faith.
High School
High School Ministry is focused on equipping students not only to know Jesus, but to follow Him wholeheartedly, in all aspects of life. As a member of our high school team, you'll have an opportunity to impact students through weekly youth group gatherings, high school lunch clubs, small group discussions, and a whole lot more!
Young Adults
College Ave Young Adults exists to help young adults know, love, and follow the real Jesus. At CAYA, young adults participate in authentic worship, engage with biblical teaching, and have opportunities to build meaningful connections with one another through serve teams. All residents will have some involvement in the ministry, but as the Young Adults Resident, you will work closely with the Young Adults Director to shepherd the ministry and help plan and execute all that goes into making it run!
Worship
Worship Ministry is focused on the training and development through music and worship leading at College Ave. This includes involvement in Sunday services, student ministries, prayer room, and other worship opportunities.
Missions
Missions Ministry is focused on church planting, sending missionaries, and meeting others’ needs – in both local and global expressions. Missions residents will coordinate through the year with ministry partners and church teams, supporting connections to serve projects/trips, global impact, and taking the gospel to the ends of the earth.
